"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." John 10:27 ESV It had been a wild last few months with many investigations ongoing in our government, and this week the headlines have centered on the Jared Kushner, senior aide to the President as well as his son-in-law. As with any period of uncertainty, there will always be those who exaggerate, understate, accuse, and deny. What becomes difficult during these times is hearing truth and wisdom. In John, Jesus is confronted by a crowd of Jews demanding he prove that He is Lord, hurling insults and jeers his way. Instead of engaging in heated discourse, Jesus simply reminds them that what he has always said remains true. He then states the verse above, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." In our own daily battles, listen for Jesus' voice, as it is our one and only certainty in a time of incredible doubt. It will be the small, soft voice, calling you above the fray towards peace, love, and grace. Pray today that Jesus speaks into your life to deliver you above the uncertainty and political strife.
