For what is beginning to feel like a weekly event, there were more despicable terror attacks in London and France yesterday. As good people of this nation, we know in our hearts what is right and wrong. If we are not sure, that is when we are to seek Jesus' word on the subject. Such has been the balance of society for centuries. However, today, it is no small wonder why when the number of people rooted in faith is at an all time low, the threat of random acts of evil is higher than in any recent memory. How many of us just roll our eyes and continue with our day when we hear of a terrorist attack? In not so distant times before, we as Christians, upon hearing news of a tragic event, would immediately get on our hands and knees and pray for those affected, our leaders, and our country. Tolerance of evil will only normalize it. It is not too late to rebuild our culture of confronting evil and rededicate our lives into the hands of our God. Today, make time to get on your knees and pray for healing of our country and world, courage to stand up for what is good, and the leadership to overcome evil in our midst.

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” – 2nd Chronicles 7:14 ESV
