Monday was a big news days with many different headlines competing for the lead. Among them was the continued debate over healthcare, the Supreme Court's decisions on President Trump' travel ban and other rulings, and the President himself leveling accusations against his predecessor for mishandling the Russians during the 2016 election. With all three branches of government making headlines yesterday, there is sure to be heated debate continuing today. While these issues are important and worth debating, remember today James' words on how we use our tongue. In Chapter 3, James reminds us that our tongue can be used for praising God or for cursing other men, who are made in God's likeness. While we may differ in opinion, we are all made in God's image; therefore, treat each other as you wish to be treated. Today, let us praise God for the day He has given and if we must debate, let us do so with respect and with an amicable resolution as our goal.

"With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be." -- James 3: 9-10 NIV
