Paul Manafort, the former Chairman of the Trump campaign, and his aide surrendered to the FBI Monday morning as part of the Russia election meddling investigation. While the specifics of the case against them are not yet known, this is a major development after months of investigation. Predictably, political spin artists will both seek to downplay and convict the two men before they have their trials. While investigating and convicting wrong-doers in our society is justified, wreaking havoc with innuendo, speculation, and political opportunism during the justice process is not. As we enter a new stage of the investigation, we must focus our prayers on healing for our nation during and after this season. After all is said and done in this investigation and presidential administration, we will still be one nation under God. Let us remember Him who said "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Today, pray for healing over the divisions in our country and for God's will to be done.

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." -- Isaiah 41:10 ESV
