As the number of accusations of sexual misconduct grows against political leaders, celebrities, and others, the issues of love, respect, and unity of our society are thrown into debate. Daily, as new accusers step forward, it can feel like our leaders in society have been hiding a great secret for years. In such a time, some of us grow angry, some despondent, and others aloof. All of these emotions will not grow us closer to God, but in fact, pull us farther away. There is only one refuge from the storms of our days, and He is God. Psalm 63 says, "You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water." Jesus is the living water that will quench our thirsts when the land is dry and road long. Pray for guidance and a heart pointed directly at Jesus today.

"You, God, are my God,

earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

--Psalm 63:1 NIV
