Allegations of sexual misconduct continue to abound in the news, however this issue is but one that is separating us as a nation. Bitterness, resentment, and foolish pride towards each other are sins, and yet have taken hold in our country, allowing the enemy to work amongst us for his betterment and not our own. Issues of sin can only be resolved by Jesus through two actions: confession and repentance. Debating over whose sins are worse only digs the enemy's claws deeper into our lives. In James, it says, "Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." Today, be open about your own faults when approaching others you disagree with. Remember that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Forgive others because they, like you, need it.

"Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." -- James 5:16 NLV
