At the end of last week, a prominent White House aide resigned over alleged spousal abuse. While spousal abuse may not outwardly affect a person’s job performance, it speaks directly to a person’s character and integrity. Integrity is something that we either have or don’t. We can show our integrity throughout our lives by the actions, decisions, and manner in which we conduct our lives. But even the most outwardly honest among us may still harbor dishonest hearts. In 1 Chronicles, it says, “I know, my God, that you examine our hearts and rejoice when you find integrity there.” God determines integrity because it is shown by what we do when no one, except God, is watching. Today, open your heart to God and align it with His true and honest purposes for you.
