The news of Pastor Andrew Brunson's release and return from captivity in Turkey was great news this week. He no doubt suffered greatly for two years in a Turkish prison, but in interviews since has commented that while difficult some days, he never lost faith that God was with him. We all face trials in life, and some last for years or even decades. For many, it is the length of time to endure that is the most difficult aspect to grapple with. But God is faithful no matter what you may be going through because He sees and knows all, including exactly what you are facing. In James, it says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” If God granted you the day, He will bless you with the strength to endure it. Today, lean on God and trust Him with what you are going through. Depend on Him to get you through the day.
