Even a week after Election Day, we still as a nation are arguing over its results in Florida. While network news covers the recounts and the PR battles between the candidates all day and night, again, we as Americans are caught in the middle of two warring sides verbally attacking each other. While these leaders may be able to keep politics and personal relationships separate, it can become difficult for others to do so. When we are so obsessed with winning, power, or our preferences being reflected in our nation, we lose sight of the damage we are inflicting to each other. The Bible says in Galatians, “But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.” The more we fight each other, the more the Devil wins. Today, resolve to step above the fray and reach out in friendship and communion to those who you disagree with. Lead with Jesus and allow Him to bless you and those you disagree with.

“But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.” – Galatians 5:15 ESV
