Anyone who worries about the future makes a habit of watching the news, but in return, they receive more to worry about. It is a vicious cycle! Worry in life, when allowed to run wild in our minds, can have disastrous consequences. At the very least, it holds us back from what God has for us in the future and prevents us from enjoying what He has given us in the present. Jesus addressed living with worry in Luke chapter 12. He said, “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?” Today, if you are living with worry, let it go and allow your faith in God’s promises to fill your mind in its place.

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?” — Luke 12:22-26
