Our behavior is what signals to the world the most about us. Most people will never understand what goes on in our minds, our intentions, or hear our words. Our actions are what most people will remember about us. Thus, believing with our minds and professing with our mouths is not enough for the world to understand that we are a follower of Christ – our behaviors must demonstrate this fact for all to see. Often, our behaviors are the last, and hardest, thing to change in our lives. Fortunately, we can approach God with our whole selves – the good, the bad, and the ugly – and find forgiveness through Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” Today, if you are struggling with behaviors that you know need to change in service to the Lord, ask for forgiveness and pray for the strength and resolve to change them – and you will have it.

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” – 2 Timothy 2:15 ESV
