Even though people share more than ever online these days, people share less of their true selves than ever in person. When we hold back who we truly are and what we truly think from each other, we are essentially isolating who we really are from the world. In isolation, the enemy has the most power over us. When we share of ourselves with others, and accept others doing the same, we create cohesion, togetherness, and community. Paul said, “Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.” If we do not share of ourselves with our neighbors, we give the enemy a foothold to corrupt our thoughts and turn us against each other. Today, commit to opening up to others and accept others doing the same, even if they have vastly different opinions than you.
