In recent years, it has become all too common for the two major political parties to not be able to agree on the issues in our nation that are most important. Sadly, it seems that “good politics“ is the driving force behind action or inaction, not doing what is good and right for the people of this nation. It is this type of thinking — doing what it takes to hold onto power rather than doing what it takes to benefit others — that gives the enemy a foothold in our society. The Bible says, “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.“ What is good for the party of our choice can never outweigh what is good for people our nation and its people. Today, rise above the political squabbles and look to what is important. Above all, be kind and loving to all, regardless of their beliefs.
