Picking up from yesterday’s post, we know that consulting the Lord before making decisions will lead to the Lord making our paths straight. However, just because a path is straight does not mean it is easy. Nothing great in life comes easy, but in our struggles, God not only sees our faith in action but prepares us to help others struggling behind us. We’ve all heard the old adage, “In your pain, you will find your purpose.” This is true, but especially when we faithfully endure the challenges of God’s path for us. Then, we will be in the place and with the perspective that God wants for us in order to bless the next person on their path. God said to the Israelites, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.” God knows the struggles we all will face and designed them so that we might bless others behind us. Today, if you are walking through a challenge, take heart in the fact that not only is God with you but He is also going to use you to help others once you have endured this season of life.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.” – Jeremiah 29:11-14 ESV
