With all of the ongoing investigations in Washington, trust is a word that is rarely used by anyone in regards to our government. We all strive to elect trustworthy and good-hearted representatives, and most politicians are exactly that. However trust is a funny thing, especially when it is placed upon shaky ground. We must trust each other, but when ultimate trust is placed in an earthly person, government, or other body over God, we set ourselves up for failure. God commanded us to hold no other gods before Him, and with the popular culture's declining opinion of Christianity, our society's faith is being cast into places it was never meant to be. It is a small wonder why our nation's issues seem to be growing! In Psalms, it says, "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright." Trust no one before God is the corollary to the 2nd Commandment. Today, reaffirm your trust in Jesus as the one who stands true and resolute, who is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright." -- Psalm 20: 7-8
