As news of an FBI agent who was fired from the special investigation due to anti-Trump sentiments continues to emerge, trust in our government is plummeting to new lows. The sharing of trust requires mutual assurances of positive action. When tragedy befalls us, we trust that our friends will be there for us; however, this does not always happen. As a result, the pain and heartache soon turns to bitterness and hardened hearts. However, the Bible provides us assurance of God’s positive action for us. In Psalms, it says “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.” When we place our trust in God first, we are then able to trust each other; said another way, when we have faith that God will deliver us through any and every trial, we can open our hearts to each other with faith, love, and no fear. Today, pray for a softened heart and trust towards others.
