The leaders of our intelligence agencies testified before Congress yesterday to give an update as to the threats our nation faces and the steps we must take to counteract them. The testimonies revealed a very flawed and dangerous world, where it is obvious that the devil is hard at work sowing seeds of division, distrust, and encouraging evil wherever he can. However we have a Lord who has overcome the world. In following Jesus, we, too, can overcome the evil that tries to hold us down. In John, Jesus says, “Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” For our world to better honor God, we must not only follow Jesus, but also serve Him. A focus on serving the One serves the many. Today, consider how you can serve Jesus and in doing so, allow Him to bless the many.
