The games of politics are broadly now accepted as toxic and at times even cruel. Lives have been destroyed in the name of political gain and subsequently viewed as merely collateral damage in the quest for a perceived good ending. But viewing political power or the ability to command our own opinions over others as our ultimate goal in life is not a Godly endeavor. For what issue of the world can supersede the importance of our relationship with God? What cause is worth sinning for? Proverbs 16 says, “When a man's ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” For God, the ends never justify the wrong means. It is our God-honoring means that He will bless with a righteous end. Today, pray for God to show you the means by which you should pursue life and steady your feet on His righteous path.
