By mid-week, many of us are already exhausted by the toils of work, life’s stresses, and countless other factors. The weekly fatigue on our bodies and minds is a reality of life. However, when our bodies and minds are weighed down, our soul is often dragged down, too. We were not meant to live lives of ease and relaxation, but we also were not meant to live life with a downtrodden spirit as well. There is not a burden too heavy or work too toilsome that can weigh down the soul who has found Jesus. Jesus called the entire world to find rest in Him saying, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” No matter how difficult your week may be, believe that Jesus will always accept your burden because He cares for you. Today, if you are carrying something that you shouldn’t or that you cannot carry any longer, lay it down at the feet of Jesus. Pray for rejuvenation of your soul, body, and mind and you will have it.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28 ESV
