We begin our week of news by jumping right back into the Democrat’s impeachment inquiry and the White House’s rejection of it. There are few things in life as divisive as politics because they pretend to be the most important thing in life. But have you ever noticed that the people who care least about politics are usually the happiest? Politics certainly have their place in life, but that place is far from the most important. Wise people recognize that the passions of the moment seldom are important in the long term. Thus, keeping a cool head is imperative to living a happy life. The MSG Bible says it this way, “Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You're not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It's the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith.” Today, do not let the passions of politics create anger in your mind. Trust in the goodness and greatness of God to deliver His plans for all of us.
