As we all brace ourselves for what things to get worse before better, the waiting game and constant drip of worsening news is an incredible challenge to overcome. This world is great at finding ways to drag us down and keep us locked in fear and anxiety; but that is the precise reason why Jesus overcame the world. In Romans, it says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” God is present in all things, but His ultimate will for us may not always be apparent in a fleeting moment. Today, pray for guidance and clear eyes to discern His long term plan and remain vigilant to the warnings and urgings of our leaders to stay quarantined. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” — Romans 12:2 ESV
