News of further North Korean aggressions have heightened tensions between them and the rest of the world. It is a daunting idea, that a man with no discernible moral compass has weapons of mass destruction. However, the world has faced down evils such as this before. In Matthew, Jesus says, "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places." God has warned us that things like this will happen, and will continue to happen, but it is not the end. With this new North Korea threat on the heels of the destruction of Hurricane Harvey, it is easy to view our current state as hopeless or defeated. But just as good will always triumph over evil, so will faith over anxiety. Today, lay down your anxiety at the feet of Jesus and walk into the world confident in His peace.
