Last Friday, the Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team issued numerous indictments against Russian nationals who actively attempted to sow political discord and affect the 2016 presidential election. It has been a confusing year during this investigation, with both political parties beating their own drums and disagreeing on the significance of even basic facts along the way. Finding reliable information and guidance has been hard to come by. But is this kind of confusion isolated to just this age in our history? Of course not, this is a problem mankind has struggled with all along. In Isaiah, God gives us the reason: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” We will never understand the vastness and

greatness of God’s work in our lives. But strong faith in God’s innate goodness and righteousness enables us to extend grace and kindness to that we do not understand. Today, choose to pursue more of God’s word than man’s and extend the grace and kindness to others that you wish to receive.
