The air strikes the US inflicted upon the chemical weapons centers of the Syrian government Friday dominated news coverage throughout the weekend. While early reports seem to show a mission accomplished with little to no collateral or civilian damage, Syria is still a country in complete turmoil. No matter how we feel about our current politicians or President, what Syrians endure on a daily basis at the hands of their government as well as outside forces makes the politically inspired hatred and anger of our country seem incredibly petty. But God is the ultimate healer, as he has shown throughout the Bible and in countless lives since then. He says, “For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord.” Anyone who has not personally experience the healing power of God need only reach out to a few friends or a quick Google search to hear of His incredible miracles. A miracle is what Syria, and the entire Middle East, needs today. Pray today for Syria, for all the Middle East, and our country’s healing.
