The world can be a confusing place made more complicated by the innumerable differences between each and every person God has created. But God also created something that was meant to join us all — love. It was His grand design that his own Son would embody that love for all mankind to take notice. Jesus just came to love. And even if he was not loved in return, his position never changed. Too many of us change ourselves or the way we speak or even think in order to be loved. Jesus came to show that if we just refuse to stop loving others, everything else will fall into place. Jesus was uniquely himself at all times and loved the uniqueness of others at all times—and even though he didn’t love our sin, he still loved us. The evidence of this is in Romans 5, “But God shows his love for us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Today, recognize that the only thing separating you from those you disagree with is your own lack of love for them.

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 ESV
