As we all head back to work after the holidays, real life is settling back in again. What is easy is settling back into the same old routines; what isn’t as easy is making the changes we want to accomplish the things we wish. The road forward to our goals is always dark and unpredictable as to achieve what we never have means going places and doing things we’ve never done. But Jesus not only goes with us, the Bible tells us he illuminates the righteous path forward for us. Psalm 119 says of the Lord, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Because of this, as we are chasing our goals for the year, what we need most is more of Jesus. This year, as you work hard toward your goals, pray for more of Jesus first.

“ Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105 NIV
