The first debate between President Trump and former Vice President Biden happened last night and news cycles are sure to analyze every angle of it and offer opinions on what it means for the future of the race. Though it may have importance in the long run, what really matters is what each of us individually decides in our own hearts. All decisions we make, if we want to feel confident in them, should be prayed over. But prayer alone is not enough; active pursuit of Jesus and his word will lead to the destinations we want to be. We all know the Bible verse, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Seeking a relationship with Jesus and pouring over his word is the roadmap forward in life. Thus, it is not only in prayer, but in active pursuit of Jesus, that we make the right decisions in life. Today, whether you are facing a decision over voting or something else in your life, pray over it and actively seek Jesus as the means to finding the answer.

Prayerful consideration, seeking Jesus first, will lead to the right decisions.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” -- Psalm 119:105
