Tragedy struck in Sutherland Springs, TX when a gunman claimed the lives of dozens of innocent church-goers. In times like these, when tragedy strikes so close to home for we Christians, it is important to remember how our God is bigger than anything this world can throw at us. We must also remember that God is closer to us now than ever. God declares in the book of Jeremiah, "Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away?" God has his arms wrapped around you right now; to overcome tragedy, we need only embrace him back. Pray for those affected by this tragedy today and cling to Jesus as your light in a dark time.
