Thanksgiving is a time of reflection for many, a time when we gather close with family and give thanks for all the many blessings we have. Thankfulness is not a one-day ritual; it is a way of living. We give thanks because God created us in His image and has watched over and blessed us all our lives. But why does He bless us though? A blessing is a challenge to be generous. In 2 Corinthians, it says “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” We are blessed specifically so that we can be generous on every occasion. Today, as you reflect and give thanks to God for your blessings, aim to be a blessing in Jesus’ name for others.
