The terrorist attack in the New York City subway yesterday is yet another reminder of the evil that this world can hold when God is misunderstood. Those errant few who warp God’s unbending word to suit their own perverse desires stand in stark contrast to the love that our God truly embodies. Today seems a perfect day to share one of Jesus’ most famous declarations: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Since this is true, the challenge in life is not determining who to follow, but how honestly we can measure ourselves against him. We all wish to believe we live a Christ-like life, but life is a journey towards Christ; we do not find our destination until we are in Heaven with Him. We must seek Him evermore each day. Today, pray for those affected by this attach, including the perpetrator, that they be healed and renewed in the Holy Spirit.
