Last night President Trump addressed Congress and the nation in his State of the Union address and the Democrats responded with their rebuttal in kind. While both sides wish to portray only their successes and the other’s failures, level headed people understand that the truth is somewhere in between. If this past year has shown anything, it is that no one is perfect and even flawed people can still do great things. On this subject, Paul wrote to the Corinthians, “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Today, take heart in your own weaknesses and give them to Jesus, and through Him, be strong.

For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” — 2 Corinthians 12: 9-10 ESV
