The Senate laid out a bipartisan budget deal yesterday that will keep the government open for the foreseeable future, showing that compromise is still possible in Washington. The art of compromise, or joining together for greater good, is a major facet in peaceful relations. On finding peace, Paul wrote to the Romans, “So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.” Building each other up brings us all closer to Jesus. Today, seek to build those around you up, breathe life into them, and continue to point each one up to Jesus.
