In an age when information is plentiful but wisdom is hard to find, the laws of economics still hold true: that which is scare shall be sought after. Wisdom is something that cannot be gained by study alone, it comes from living, loving, making decisions and reaping the consequences. When God created us, he did not bestow wisdom upon a single one of us. He intended for us to learn and grow during the time He predetermined for us on this earth. What He gave us to learn and grow from was His word captured in the Bible. Tantamount in His word is a warning against one sin in particular that has led to the struggle and downfall of many men: pride. From the story of Adam and Eve to Revelations, pride is the root cause of many evils we face on this earth. In Proverbs, it says, “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.” As you go through your life, always remember to lean on the perfect word of God in the Bible for all things, for leaning on God’s word for guidance is a sign of humility, and humility before God creates wisdom before men. Today, read a new chapter of a new book of the Bible you haven’t visited before, and soak in the wisdom it bestows.
