The hustle and bustle of the week for most of us can be described as “busy” at best. Between work and family commitments, setting aside time to talk to God can get squeezed out of our schedule for things that seem more urgent at the time. But consider what would happen if we scheduled a meeting with God each day; free from distraction, noise, or interruption. What would happen? The Lord promises us many things in our lives, and regardless of our willingness to obey His wishes, His will be done. But what would happen if we set aside time each day to be alone with the Lord? The answer lies in Exodus 14:14, which says, “The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” Meeting with God each day and hearing his message moves us from a bystander of His plan to an active participant. Today, make the decision to set aside a few minutes each day as your quiet time with the Lord and ask Him to show you how to be the person He wants you to be.
