Happy Easter! He is Risen! Easter is one of the biggest days of the Christian calendar as it celebrates the reason for our salvation: Jesus’ victory over death and subsequent resurrection. It is a momentous and celebratory day! But after the church crowds disperse and we head back to our lives, we often fall back into the same old routines. For some, the next time they see the inside of a church will be Christmas. Have you ever wondered what it must have felt like to be a disciple of Jesus? They witnessed his death and then three days later witnessed his resurrection! How energized must they have been that Monday morning to declare the gospel and make more disciples of Jesus! Jesus commanded them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Today, bring the same level of enthusiasm and conviction that the disciples had to proclaim Jesus’ victory over death!

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” — Matthew 28:18-20 NIV
