President Trump announced yesterday that the US would withdraw from the Iran Nuclear Deal made by his predecessor. Citing many concerns, President Trump took a very firm stand as to his position on the subject. When was the last time you took a firm stand on something, especially when you knew you would receive criticism for it? Our lives are often defined by a few things: the company we keep, the choices we make, the times we compromise, and the times we stand firm. When we stand firm, the natural result is a separation, as some will agree with us and others will not. It is important in that moment to be confident and assured in your stance. How can we be so confident? When we stand firmly upon the Word of God. The Bible is God’s truth and it’s ebbing popularity today in popular culture does not at all diminish it’s validity. As it says in 2 Thessalonians, “So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.” Today, take an assured stand for Jesus and be confident in the truth upon which you stand.

“So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.” 2 Thessalonians 2:15 NIV
