The group of boys and their soccer coach trapped in a cave in Thailand have captured he attention of the entire world as rescuers race to save them before flood waters rise and oxygen depletes. It is truly a drama that feels almost straight out of Hollywood — however it is very real. Thankfully, four of the boys have been freed already but more are still left. Such times call for intense prayer for the boys and their coach, the families, and especially the rescue teams. While this dramatic saga may seem insurmountable, we must always we remember that we serve a God who is bigger than any perceived challenge on earth. We have all seen God work miracles in our lives and the lives of others, so faith in this storm is both the most reasonable response as well as the best. In Deuteronomy, it says, “He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.” Today, pray for all those involved in this cave rescue and for God to bless them with safe passage home.

“He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.” — Deuteronomy 10:21 NIV
