As we all begin another week, there is always a lot on our minds. Having goals and agendas are good and keep us focused and motivated, but when we allow our mind to become cluttered with too many things or our schedule too busy, the first thing to be bumped from our day is usually our time with God. We sacrifice the one thing we need for the hundreds of other little things we may want in our day. In Psalm 142, it says, “I cry to you, Lord; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.” A day without speaking with God is a missed opportunity to grow, learn, and be blessed. This week, reset your priorities so that having time with God becomes the one thing you cannot go a day without.

“I cry to you, Lord;

I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.” — Psalm 142:5 ESV
