As we all awaken this Monday, we step into another week of busy activity and work. Sometimes that thought of diving into all the tasks we must complete for the week can give us anxiety or dread. But today, give thanks for the blessing of tasks to do because they allow us to feed our families, contribute to society, and touch the lives of others. Just think, if we had nothing to do each week, how many fewer small interactions with other people would we be blessed with? In those little, spontaneous interactions we can leave a lasting impression for Jesus. In Psalms, it says, “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!” Today, give thanks for the ability to go out into the world and be a chosen representative of Jesus.

“You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;

you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!” — Psalm 30:11-12 NIV
