News of the incoming Hurricane Florence later this week has many on the East Coast anxious about its ferocity and the destruction it may cause. While proper preparation is crucial, being anxious about what we cannot control will always be fruitless. It is in these times that faith is more crucial than ever. In Psalm 4, it says, “I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Anxiety is the enemy’s way of telling us it will not all be ok. Just as everything else he says, it is a lie. Today give your fears and anxiety to Jesus and trust in Him.
