Today marks the day that the nation has been hearing so much about: the day when Judge Brett Kavanaugh and his accuser testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Undoubtedly, it will be a trying day for both. We all face days that we approach with a sense of dread or anxiety, knowing the challenges that day will bring. Other days, we awake thinking it will be a normal day that at some point turns for the worst. In days like these, even if no one around us seems to be on our side, we always have a defender in God. Psalm 46 says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” Today, give whatever is troubling you to God and trust in Him to be your defender and refuge.
