News broke yesterday of a surprise resignation from UN Ambassador Nikki Haley as she wishes to pursue new opportunities in 2019. New opportunities can be hard to come by in life for most of us, and opportunities that yield success and good living even fewer. But we all have been in a place before where we have been searching for a new opportunity, or even just a way out of where we currently stand. Our God is the God of not only second chances, but of using our past and present to build a stronger future. In Isaiah, He proclaims, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” God creates new ways forward for us not only where they do not currently exist, but also where everything and everyone tells us they shouldn’t exist. It is in unquestioning faith that God’s avenues appear in the wilderness and wasteland. Today, ask God for guidance and the ability to see His path forward for you that others may deny exists.

“See, I am doing a new thing!

Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” — Isaiah 43:19
