This time of year, it can be especially difficult to be sick or to know someone who is sick. When everyone else is celebrating the end of another year, the season of giving, and most importantly, the birth of Jesus, some are just praying for another sunrise and relief from their illness. The Bible tells us that prayer for the sick will result in healing, just as repentance of sins will result in forgiveness. The Book of James tells us, “And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.” However, in order for prayer to bring healing it must be done in full faith, with no doubt of God’s goodness, love, and ability to heal. Today, bring your most fervent prayers to God for the sick, believing in full faith that they will be healed by His might hand.

“And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.” – James 5:15 NIV
