In a high profile case, President Trump’s former lawyer was sentenced to prison time yesterday for crimes he had committed. Sadly, there are many among us who have chosen the wrong paths in life and run astray of the law, and are reaping the consequences now. But more important than what the law of man says is what the Word of God says. For God sees all and knows all, and in the end, will be the ultimate judge of the lives we have lived. In Galatians, it says, “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”
You can’t fool God. The way in which we live today determines what happens next in our life, and more importantly, what happens for eternity afterwards. Today, decide where you need to plant new roots and grow deeper into the Spirit.
“Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” — Galatians 6:7-8 NIV
