We live in uncertain times, with news headlines always swirling, markets ping-ponging, and in our own personal lives, we often see just as many lows as we do highs. Uncertainty is the greatest asset of the enemy as he uses its existence in our lives to create doubt, fear, and poor decision-making. God makes us many guarantees in the Bible, but one in particular is especially comforting. When Joshua was elevated to lead God’s people after Moses’ death, one can only imagine how fearful and uncertain he must have been. Following in the footsteps of the mighty Moses to take the lead of a people who had been lost in the desert for 40 years must have seemed like an un-winnable situation. But God speaks to him, saying, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” There will never be a day nor trial that God does not walk through with you. Today, face your challenges or fears with certainty, knowing that God goes with you.
