As we are approaching the end of the year, many of us are starting to think about New Year’s resolutions. Making life changes can be a great thing, especially when they lead to a better lifestyle and better future. One decision that everyone who calls Jesus their Lord and Savior considers the most important and life-changing decision is their that to surrender their lives to Jesus. What does this mean though? It’s one thing to say the words “I surrender” but what do we do after that? For many that can be confusing. One of the best ways to describe it is found in Paul’s letter to the Galatians. He says, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Living a new life in Jesus requires lifestyle changes, but those changes are the things that bring you closer to Jesus and, therefore, towards a peace, calm, and freedom you’ve never experienced before. Today, if you are seeking peace, calm, and freedom like you have never known, make the decision to give your life over to Jesus.

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” — Galatians 2:20 ESV
