Uncertainty is a challenge we all face, and for most of us, it is present more often than we wish. Whether it is in our government, our friends, families, careers, or even our God, uncertainty cripples us from acting in our own or others best interest. However, certainty is a decision, not some thing we just hope for one day, that flows from being certain of our foundation — the thing we stand upon and when all else fails will still be there. When we make Jesus our foundation, and decide to be certain of His presence and promises, everything else will begin to make sense. Psalm 18 says, “The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” The “what-if’s” of life find their definitive answers at the feet of Jesus. Today, decide to be certain of God’s word and power and let all else flow from that foundation.
