With the Trump Administration in Vietnam for a second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, the news cycle is full of speculation about what could happen. Such a frenzy can, and usually does, stir up worries in all of us. Worry is a strange thing, though. Unlike fear or doubt, which can creep into our minds all by themselves, worry is typically a result caused by either one. When thought of that way, worry becomes a choice rather than an inevitability. The Bible tells us, “Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.” A prayerful approach to life accomplishes all the major goals of life. To live in accordance with God, to receive His blessings, and live without fear or doubt. Today, rather than let fear and doubt cause you to worry, choose to pray and be strengthened by God’s presence.

“Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.” — Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
