News continues to swirl around the public release of the Mueller report and many in the news and in Washington are becoming impatient. Impatience is something we all deal with at times in life; sometimes as we wait for something fun in our lives, other times when we feel stuck and are tired of waiting for progress, or finally other times when we anxiously await a verdict, diagnosis, or some other piece of news. In these moments, the enemy whispers into our ears that we need to act, push to get things moving faster, or make big decisions right now. It is when we are most angered, most impatient, more irritated, or most fearful that God calls us to look to Him for salvation — and not to listen to the voice in our heads telling us to take matters into our own hands. He says in Psalms, “Be still and know that I am God.” Today, if you are dealing with impatience, give it to God and pray over the thing that is giving you the spirit of impatience.
“Be still and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
