The departure of a couple Trump Administration officials made big news over the last couple days and served as another catalyst for debate in the news. Change is something we all face throughout life. Some of the more intrepid among us view constant change as a good thing and opportunity for continued growth. Others prefer things to remain the same and only begrudgingly accept change when it is forced upon them. Whatever our attitudes towards change may be, there is no doubt that change is challenging. During a season of change, we are off-balance, unsure, and sometimes even lost. We get lost when we lost touch of where, to borrow a baseball term, “home-base” is. When we place Jesus as our home-base, our anchor, our refuge, no matter how strong a season of change may be, we always have a patch of solid ground on which to stand. Paul said of Jesus, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” Today, if you are experiencing a season of change, seek Jesus as your home-base and anchor and find the comfort that only he can provide.

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” – Hebrews 6:19 NIV
